Reagents for the colorimetric determination of total chlorine. These reagent sachets follow the DPM method which involves a reaction between chlorine and reagent, resulting in a pink tinted sample. The intensity of color is determined by a compatible photometer and the concentration will be displayed. By simply adding the packet of HI-701-25 reagent, the reaction will take place and the HI-701 will determine the concentration from the color that is produced.
Suggestions for best use - Ensure samples do not contain debris of any kind. Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. If the cuvette is shaken it may produce bubbles; for accurate readings tap the cuvette to remove bubbles within the sample. Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost. Clean sample cuvette immediately after testing to prevent staining.
