The Davis-Weather Leaf Wetness Sensor is used to monitor the level of surface moisture on foliage, with range from 0 (completely dry) to 15 (saturated).
Purchase of the leaf wetness sensor also includes a 40' cable. The Leaf Wetness Sensor must be connected via either a Wireless Soil Moisture/Temperature Station or an EnviroMonitor Node. The leaf wetness sensor is used to detect the presence of surface moisture on foliage and calculate the duration of wetness. When moisture is present, the sensor detects an electrical resistance change between the gold-plated elements of the grid.
